On October 19, BURO Bangladesh officially inaugurated anewly established training center in Salandar, Thakurgaon. Thisstate-of-the-art facility is equipped with modern amenities, including advancedtraining infrastructure and residential accommodations, designed to supportcomprehensive capacity-building initiatives.

From its formative years to its current phase oftransformation, BURO Bangladesh has been fortunate to have Graham A. N. Wrightas a sincere friend and collaborator. To honor his outstanding contributions,BURO Bangladesh organized the "Graham A. N. Wright Reunion" onDecember 25–26 at the BURO Institute of Innovation and Development in Tangail.

On May 31, 2025, BURO Bangladesh officially inaugurated its 12th training center in Eklashpur, Noakhali. The eleven-story facility includes the organization’s Noakhali Zonal Office, modern training rooms, residential accommodations for trainees, and all necessary amenities.

From July 7–9, 2025, the WE CARE Project Kick-off Meeting and Health Summit was hosted by BURO Bangladesh at the BURO Institute of Innovation and Development (BIID) in Tangail.

On May 19, 2025, BURO Bangladesh formally inaugurated its 11th training center in Puraton Kosba, Jashore. The event was attended by Zakir Hossain, Founder and Executive Director of BURO Bangladesh; Sirajul Islam, Director of Special Programs; Assistant Directors; and employees from the Jashore Zone. Mosharrof Hossain, Director of Finance, and Farmina Hossain, Director of Operations, delivered their remarks via video.

On July 2, BURO Bangladesh’s HeadOffice hosted a vibrant “Fruit Festival 2025,” featuring 35 varieties offruits, accompanied by soul-soothing folk music. The colorful event transformedthe BURO Bangladesh head office premises into a lively and flavorful gathering.Following the fruit feast, a captivating folk music performance added to thefestive spirit and created an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.

At London Climate Week 2025, BUROBangladesh joined a vital global conversation on financing climate resiliencefor vulnerable communities. Our participation in two high-impact sessions—powered by MSC (MicroSave Consulting)—brought the voices and experiences of frontline communities from Bangladesh to the international stage.

Farmina Hossain, Director of Operations at BURO Bangladesh, recently participated in the Best Diplomats Conference, where she represented Bangladesh in high-level diplomatic simulations.

BURO Bangladesh has beenrecognized as an 'E-Return Champion' for the 2024-25 fiscal year. This honor isawarded in acknowledgment of its significant contribution to promoting taxcompliance and good governance, having filed the highest number of online returnsas an institution. 

BURO Bangladesh organized a day-long Breast Cancer Awareness Programme at its head office on October 30 to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aiming to encourage early detection and promote a supportive workplace environment.

 As part of its continued commitment to employee welfare, BURO Bangladesh, in collaboration with the BURO Health Care Foundation, organized a two-day Employee Health and Wellness Programme at its head office on October 29–30.

In observance of World Mental Health Day 2025, BURO Bangladesh organized a Mental Health Workshop on October9 to raise awareness about mental well-being and promote a healthier, more supportive work culture. 

A four-day “Development Management Course” was organized from October 27–30 at the BURO Institute of Innovation and Development (BIID) in Tangail for the executive directors of 27NGOs affiliated with the Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB). 

In a strategic initiative to advance its digital transformation agenda, a 16-member delegation from BURO Bangladesh recently visited Amartha Financial, Indonesia’s leading fintech-based microfinance institution. Over the four-day visit, the delegation gained in-depth insights into Amartha’s digital loan management model, the integration of technology with human touch, and the organization’s work culture.

In response to the devastating fire that swept through Dhaka’s Korail, BURO Bangladesh has waived BDT 8.9 million in loans and begun returning an additional BDT 2.2 million in savings to 76 affected members.
