BURO Bangladesh Promotes Breast Cancer Awareness Among Employees

BURO Bangladesh organized a day-long Breast Cancer Awareness Programme at its head office on October 30 to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aiming to encourage early detection and promote a supportive workplace environment.

 The event featured two sessionsin collaboration with the BURO Healthcare Foundation and the Center for CancerCare Foundation (CCCF). Specialist doctors discussed breast cancer prevention,early diagnosis, and treatment options, while two breast cancer survivorsshared their experiences to inspire awareness and resilience amongparticipants.

 In the morning session, gynecologist and breast cancer specialist Dr Sayeeda Khan led an informative discussion, followed by one-on-one breast screenings conducted by Dr Khan and Dr Tania for female employees. Participants also learned practical breast self-examination techniques.

 The afternoon session featured two breast cancer survivors who shared their personal journeys, offeringmessages of courage and hope. Doctors from CCCF conducted an interactivediscussion and a question-and-answer segment, addressing topics such as treatmentcosts and the current state of medical services in Bangladesh.

 Through this initiative, BURO Bangladesh reaffirmed its commitment to promoting health awareness and empowering employees with knowledge and preventive practices against breastcancer.
